A Busy Weekend

After Kyleigh got home from camp, we went to a nearby McDonald's for a late lunch and then she got "thrown into the bathtub" for a much needed shower and hair wash.  Then the three of us (Janice, Kyleigh and I) went to the Angels' game with "Uncle" Bob.  This is what Kyleigh and Bob do during most of the game although usually they both have rally monkeys.
Saturday morning we met for breakfast and then headed over to the local Home Depot for the Kids' Workshop.  These are held the first Saturday of the month and the materials, necessary tools and instructions are free.  The child gets an apron and a pin for each workshop completed.   Today the kids built Penske Truck.
On the way back to the car, we walked past some sheds and Kyleigh took the opportunity to test out the wheels on the truck.

After that we went and looked at a few condos (Janice has decided she doesn't want a 3-story one after all!).  Later Saturday evening, we went to Movie Night at our church.  There was a hot dog/pulled pork sandwich supper as well as candy and sodas and popcorn available during the movie.
There were also several games that Kyleigh participated in.

First, the sack race; she had quit hopping and started running at this point
The egg/spoon race; she won this one
Sunday, of course was church.  The kids have been doing serving projects such as rolling bandages, etc.  This week they made place mats for the Senior Moments luncheons.
