WIP Wednesday - 8/22/2018

I did get my mojo back this week, but there was still one day where I didn't stitch at all and one when I only stitched on one project so there's still some room for improvement.  I think this is also the first week (at least recently) where both projects are being shown for the second week in a row.

First up is Santa Quintet.  It stayed out because the Facebook group, Cross Stitch Frog Busters had a Dimensions Stitchathon this week and I wanted to participate.

The other project, Coffee is Always a Good Idea, stayed out because I stitch my smaller projects until they're finished and this one definitely didn't get enough attention the first week.  Both pictures have errors in them.  I fixed the "w" in the first one, but I'm still working on the ones in the second picture.

WIP Wednesday - 8/15/2018

My plans for the month of August and possibly the rest of the year have blown up in my face this past week so I'll be starting over with a new set of plans and goals.  It's not all bad, mostly just new things with deadlines and a temporary loss of my stitching mojo.

I only stitched three nights last week and on one of them I only stitched on one of the two projects I'm working on.  This means I'm behind a week on my August goals.

I stitched three nights on the Santa Quintet from Dimensions.

The color is better in the first picture.  I'll be continuing to work on this one, because Cross Stitch Frog Busters is hosting a Dimensions Stitchathon this week.  I will probably switch to the backstitching though once I finish the beard.  This is approximately 1/4 of the design so there's a lot left to do.

I stitched for two nights on Coffee Is Always a Good Idea by Emma Congdon.  This is for the Coffee or Tea SAL on WOCS.  I'm behind on this one since the target date for turning it in is today.  Oh well, it's not a hard and fast deadline.  I did have to frog a whole night's work from last week since I used the wrong color for the words.
Once I complete the banner, it's mostly words so it shouldn't take too long to finish.

I've promised myself that I will stitch on both projects tonight for at least an hour each.  Hopefully, that will help get me moving again.

I am going to continue my plans for August knowing that I'm a week behind, but I may replace at least one of my large projects with a new project that has a deadline.

WIP Wednesday - 7/18/2018

Hey, I remembered to post on Wednesday this week; it's only 5:45 p.m. here in southern California.

I did most of this stitching once the weekend arrived though.

First, my rotation for this week was Santa Quintet from Dimensions which I started for a SAL on Cross Stitch Frog Busters, but I'm so far behind that now I'm just stitching it for fun.

After I finished my rotation for Santa Quintet, I started a flower for the 2018 Anniversary SAL at Quilts for Older Children and Adults.  This is only one day stitching.  It's a free chart from Cross Stitching Guild on Facebook by Michael Learned.  It definitely won't be the last chart I stitch by her.

My small pieces this week were the Fabulous Banana that I finished on Friday and Broken Heart which I'm stitching for Rainbows for Peace and Comfort.  The chart was hand drawn on graph paper, but I don't remember where I found it.
