We were supposed to leave the campground by 8:00 a.m. to arrive at Fort Atkinson by 9:00 a.m. But, both of us were worn out from the previous couple of days and there promised to be a whole lot of walking involved so we decided to skip it and go straight to tonight's campground.
We took our time getting ready and David gave me a driving lesson that involved using both feet and the parking brake to hopefully avoid what happened on the 6th. (He's fine, by the way) We finally left about 10:30. We stopped for gas and lunch and arrived at the Sioux City KOA about the same time as the rest of the group.
At the drivers' meeting they served pizza and wings made by the campground. We had planned on leftovers, but they'll have to wait until tomorrow. They also showed the movie "The Long Long Trailer" with Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball.
Tomorrow we're traveling to Oacoma, SD with a visit to the Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center after arriving in the campground.
