Rivers West Tour - Day 5

Today was another travel day.  We camped at Arrow Rock Campground last night and traveled to the Kansas City West/Lawrence KOA.  This is a fairly nice KOA.  The sites are gravel with lots of grass and there are tables and fire pits at each site as well as other amenities..

After leaving Arrow Rock, we traveled through the small town of Blackwater.  This was interesting because the parking is in the middle of the street.

Yesterday we traveled by ourselves because our baby needed new shoes, but today we managed to catch up with one of our group.  The decal in the upper left corner signifies that they're part of our group.  There's also one on the front of each rig and on the back of the tow car.

At the drivers' meeting last night the wagon master mentioned that there was a truck car wash on the way to our next stop, so David decided the rig (and the tow car) could use a good bath.  I was able to remain in the RV while it was being washed so I took a few pictures.  There were about six men washing all parts of the rig at the same time.

We arrived about 2:30 and then it was time to do laundry and a little bit of exploring.

Tomorrow, we're visiting a Lewis & Clark Statue, The National World War 1 Museum and The Arabia Treasure Museum.
