Today was our first travel day. While the rest of the group got to sleep in a little (departure time was between 10:00 and 12:00, we left the campground at 6:30 a.m. When we arrived in St. Charles, the wagon master looked over our tires and said they looked chunky and recommended replacing them He made a bunch of phone calls and hooked us up with a tire dealer about 20 miles in the wrong direction and the dealer told us we needed to be there by 7:15 to guarantee we'd get them done today. We purchased all seven tires (six plus the spare) which brings our new tire total to nine on this trip.
While the tires were being changed, we did some exploring of St. Louis while looking for some place to eat breakfast. We ended up at a Waffle House about 10 miles from the tire dealership. When we arrived back at the dealership, the rig wasn't ready, so David found a place to get his hair cut, which has been needing it for some time.

We left St. Louis about 11:00 and headed to Arrow Rock Campground in Arrow Rock, MO. This is a small campground with few amenities, but lots of trees. The rest of the trip was uneventful, except that we were planning to stop at a rest area to make sandwiches, but shortly before we arrived, David spotted a Chinese Buffet so we had lunch there instead.
For the drivers' meeting tonight they had an ice cream social -- ice cream floats with either A&W Root Beer or Orange Crush.
Tomorrow is another travel day. This time we're headed to Lawrence, KS.
